Make a Splash—Read! is a program designated for children ages 0-upcoming fifth grade.
The Make Waves at your Library program is a teen reading club for students in upcoming sixth-twelfth graders, and offers several incentives for staying motivated to read during summer months.
The programs begin Monday, June 7 and sign-ups continue through July 24.
Kids can read for fun at home, keep track of their reading time, and earn prizes from local sponsors. Highlights of the summer include puppet shows, programs, various contests and a scavenger hunt. The themes for the program are centered on water and the beach.
Local sponsors finance the annual program to keep kids and teens reading during the extended summer break. For more information on becoming a sponsor, call 770-748-5644.
