On Monday, May 3, organizers for the Cedartown 5K & Training Camp hosted a sponsors lunch at Cherokee Country Club. Pirkle’s Deli catered lunch, and the group donated a handcycle to the City of Cedartown and the Georgia Rails into Trails Society (GRITS) to promote the recreational sport along the Silver Comet Trail. Cedartown 5K competitor and local resident Krige Schabort (center) as well as City Commissioner Johnny Barrett (left) were on hand for the donation.
