Silver Creek man arrested on drug charges

Police arrested a man Monday at the East Rome Walmart and charged him with possession of dangerous drugs.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Cody Nathaniel Belford, 21, of 1371-C Old Rockmart Road in Silver Creek, was arrested by Rome police around 4 p.m. at the Walmart at 825 Cartersville Highway. He was charged with three counts of felony possession of dangerous drugs after officers said he had a plastic bag in his possession with several different kinds of controlled substances.

Belford remains in jail without bail.
