Silver Creek woman accused of beating man with laptop computer

A Silver Creek woman remained in jail Monday morning after being arrested Sunday night by Floyd County Police and accused of beating a man with a laptop computer.

According to police and Floyd County Jail records:

Rhonda Coffman Turner, 39, of 287 Wax Road, was charged with one felony count of aggravated assault.

Police say Turner entered a Turner Chapel Road residence Sunday and attempted to strike a man living there with a hammer multiple times. While she failed to hit him with a hammer, police say she did hit the individual several times with a laptop computer.

She remained in jail this morning.
