On Monday the Cedartown High School tennis teams ran into a very good Calhoun squad and dropped a pair of road games against the Class AA school.

The Bulldogs, who had won their first three games of the season by identical 5-0 scores, lost 4-1 with only No. 2 singles player Trevor Mehrkens winning. Trevor Mehrkens knocked off Adam Griffith 2-6, 6-2, 6-3.

“Trevor played the best match that he has played all year,” Head Coach Leslie Morgan said.
