The Cedartown Boys and Girls Club recently completed signs for the returning troops of the local Delta Company, scheduled to return home tomorrow.

The homemade signs say things like, 'Welcome Home' and 'Thank you' and will be staked along Hwy. 278 between Rockmart and Cedartown.

Cedartown's Company D, 148th Forward Support Company, will leave Ft. Stewart Tuesday morning and is now expected to arrive in Cedartown between noon and 2 p.m. for a welcome ceremony and parade.

Organizers hope to have a more definitive time frame for the parade before tomorrow.

The troopers are among the more than 2,000 Citizen-Soldiers who left in June 2009 to spend a year supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Their mission was to train and mentor the Afghan National army and National Police.
