Mrs. Lyna Howell Collins, 90, of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010.

She was born Aug. 24, 1919, in Cleburne County, Ala. She was the daughter of the late Robert Crawford Howell and Addie Tanner Howell. She was a member of the Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church.

She is also preceded in death by sister, Lucille Pruitt, and brothers, Lee Howell and Harold Howell.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Eloise Collins Parham and Gene; son and daughter-in-law Claud Collins and Audrey; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of step-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Rebecca Holmes and Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating. Interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens.
