Mr. Paul O. Moody, 72, of Cedartown, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2010.

He was born Nov. 20, 1937, in Polk County, the son of the late Homer and Zula Atkins Moody. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by sister, Betty Worthington; brothers, Charles Moody, Verdell Moody and Clinton Moody.

Mr. Moody was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. He was a member of Caledonia Lodge #121 and the Cedar Valley Shrine Club.

He is survived by wife, Peggy J. Moody; children, Scott Coy Moody, Tammy Moody Errigo, Michael Paul Moody; siblings, Jeanette Morgan, Homer Moody, Jr., Sara Moody, Harland Moody, Shirley Redding. Four grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m., at New Harmony Baptist Church with Dr. DeWayne New and Rev. Sammy Stephens officiating.

Following the funeral service, the interment was held in Northview Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were Ben Moody, Don Moody, Randy Hackney, Shay Moody, Ronnie Worthington, and Charles Brock. Honorary pallbearers were Wilson Wallace, Nickey Bedford, Euzell Jones, and Chuck Harmison.

The Caledonia Lodge #121 and West Georgia Memorial Club conducted Masonic Rites.
