Aragon man jailed on battery charge overnight

An Aragon man was briefly jailed by Rome police Sunday after he hit a man on Broad Street, reports stated.

According to Romee police reports:

Jeremy Wayne Fincher, 24, of an Aragon address, was arrested on charges of public drunkenness and battery after Rome police said he punched a man in the head at 1:50 a.m. Sunday. He was taken to the Floyd County Jail and later released on $1,490 in bail.
