Harbin Clinic plans to build a new 25,000-square-foot facility in Cedartown, the company announced last week.

The new clinic will include departments for family practice medicine, cardiac rehab, diabetes management and dialysis, located on 5 acres at the corner of U.S. 27 and Cherokee Road.

Construction on the Cedartown facility is expected to begin early next year with completion scheduled for early fall 2007. The building will be designed with room to add more physicians later.

“We have been working on this project over the past year and we are excited to begin construction on this new facility,” said Dr. Ken Davis, Harbin’s president and CEO. “We will be able to provide much-needed diabetes education and dialysis services to the residents of Polk County, as well as continue to provide quality medical care through Harbin Clinic Cedartown Family Practice with Dr. (Todd) Robinson and Dr. (Robert) Pyle.”

Harbin’s announcement did not provide a cost estimate for the project.
