Bobby Lee Davis, 34, is described as a career criminal and was originally apprehended by Polk Police, along with GBI and DEA agents in July of 2002.
The arrest occurred on 435 Woodsmoke Road in Rockmart, where it was discovered that Davis was operating a meth lab from his garage.
Davis had been arrested and placed on probation for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute back in 1997, which gave officers the right to search the residence.
According to drug agents, manufactured methamphetmine with a street value between $800 and $1200 was found in the garage. Firearms were found inside the residence as well.
Davis was then arrested on charges of violating the Georgia Controlled Substance Act for possession of methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
While awaiting transport, agents said Davis was able to escape from the patrol car.
All agencies searched the area on foot and by helicopter but were unable to locate Davis.
Drug agents said that Davis has been spotted in Polk County, though, the window of opportunity has not been wide enough to apprehend the fugitive.
Davis has also reportedly been spotted in Haralson, Paulding, Cobb and Habersham Counties and is still allegedly involved in illegal drug manufacturing.
A physical description of the six foot tall, 180 pound white male includes a number of tattoos on both arms, brown eyes and a moustache and goatee. Davis is said to normally have long brown hair that is sometimes tied in a pony tail.
Agents said that he could be assuming the alias of Chris Broadway and has been known to change his physical appearance by bleaching his hair.
He is also said to be a collector of Indian relics, as well as swords and knives.
Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Davis is urged to call the Polk County Narcotics Enforcement Team at 770-748-7331 or the Drug Tip Line at 770-749-4409.
