“I’m so excited to be going to work for the congressman,” Liles said. “I’ve been very impressed with the staff that he has put together. Everyone’s so energized and focused on providing the best possible service and representation for the people of the 11th Congressional District.”
Liles and her husband, Hubert, moved to Cedartown in 1996 and operate a small cattle farm. Prior to that, Liles lived in another part of the 11th District, in Douglasville, where she worked on permits and business licenses for Douglas County.
The new Gingrey staff member has participated actively in Polk County since moving here six years ago. She’s a volunteer at Polk Medical Hospital and is a member of the Georgia Association of Paralegals. Before signing on to do constituent service, Liles worked for a Rome lawyer.
Liles has a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Business Administration from Mercer University. She also has a paralegal certification from Mercer.
Liles will be based in the congressman’s district office at 600 First St., Rome, GA 30161, in the Federal Building. The telephone number is 706-290-1776 and the FAX number is 706-232-7864.
Gingrey said Liles is an example of the kind of people he wants representing him back home in Georgia.
“We want people from these communities on the ground level, helping out their neighbors and friends with any problems they may have with the federal government,” Gingrey said. “People feel more comfortable when dealing with folks they see at church or at the grocery store, people who know and care about their towns and counties.”
