Students from the Eastside Elementary Beta Club of Rockmart met Sonny Perdue at the Varsity Restaurant in Atlanta, GA while on their end-of-the-year trip. The Beta Club ate lunch at the Varsity after touring Kennesaw State University. On the trip, the Beta Club also toured the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Georgia State University. Governor Perdue discussed goals with the Beta Club and mentioned that he was once the President of his own Beta Club.
