The Cedartown Bulldogs soccer team is still kicking. After playing in the school’s first ever state playoff soccer game, the Bulldogs are ready for more.

Last Friday the No. 10 ranked Bulldogs traveled to Atlanta and defeated No. 5 ranked Druid Hills 3-1 in the first round of the Class AAA state playoffs.

“We beat a very good Druid Hills team,” Head Coach John Sheffield said. “We had a great week of practice and it showed Friday night. These kids worked really hard and they are fired up about playing in round two.”

Cedartown will now advance into the Sweet 16 to play West Hall on Wednesday. West Hall is the No. 3 ranked team in the state and the Region 7-AAA champions.
