For the first time in school history the Cedartown Bulldogs soccer team is going to the state playoffs.

Playing in a Region 6-AAA playoff game last Saturday at Cedartown Memorial Stadium, the Bulldogs defeated Heritage-Catoosa 3-2.

Cedartown will be the No. 3 seed from region six and will play at Druid Hills in round one of the Class AAA state playoffs. However, no official date or time has been set.

“We are going to the state playoffs,” Head Coach John Sheffield stated. “This team has worked hard all year long and they deserve to be in the state playoffs. They have accomplished so much in terms of there progression from game to game. It has been a wonderful experience working with them this year.”
