The Cedartown Middle School Bulldogs baseball team won their third straight game on Thursday. The victory over Model was much like their first two wins against Chattooga and Cartersville – easy.

Cedartown exploded for 10 runs en route to a 10-1 decisive win over the young Blue Devils.

“Stan Ellis pitched three shutout innings, striking out six,” head coach Bill Ellis said. “Cruz Rodriguez came in to relieve him in the fourth and also pitched well.”

Jack Haney led the Bulldogs offensively with three base hits.

“Jack has hit well every game we have played,” Ellis noted.

Cedartown will put their undefeated record on the line Monday when they play their Polk County rivals Rockmart. That contest will be at the North Floyd field No. 3 in Rome at 5 p.m.
