The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County this weekend, Feb. 16-17:

Saturday

1. The Rockmart Cuultural Arts Center, 316 North Piedmont Ave., Building 300, Rockmart is currently showing the "Art in Motion" exhibit. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

2. MOVE 22 will hold a Black Business Expo on Feb. 16, 2013 at Russell Life Center, 935 Spider Webb Dr., Rome. Anyone interested in being a vendor can call 706-622-7917. The Expo is open to the public.

Sunday

1. Second Baptist Church, 152 Evergreen Lane, will hold a Creation Conference on Sunday, Feb. 17. At 9:45 a.m., the topic will be dinosaurs and the Bible. At 11 a.m. it will be creation and the Bible, and at 6 p.m. it will be race and the Bible. Each session will contain a time of worship and Bible teaching. 2. The Rockmart Cultural Arts Center offerss oil painting classes on Sundays, 2:30–4:30 p.m., at $15 per session and are also available by appointment with Artist and Instructor James Hill. 770-355-1535.

1. MOVE 22 invites the community to celebrate Black History Month at the portable Black History Museum at the Kelsey Aycock- Burrell Center, 41 Washington Dr., Rome on Feb. 16 and 17. The theme of the museum is "Focusing on local businesses of yesteryear." Those intersted can bring groups throughout the. Tour guides can be scheduled by calling 706-622-7917.
