The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County toady, Feb. 15:

1. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Bert Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activities. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.

2. The Rockmart Cuultural Arts Center, 316 North Piedmont Ave., Building 300, Rockmart is currently showing the "Art in Motion" exhibit. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

3. Floyd Medical Center will hold a free heart health screening at the Polk Medical Center's Main office in Cedartown from 2-6 p.m. The screening is open to the public. Tests will be available for blood glucose, blood pressure, body mass index, cholesterol and EKG. Information about heart- healthy nutrition and medical consultations with a physician will also be available.

4. Allison and Connie Shaw will once again be collecting donated prom dresses for Polk County students. Anyone with a new or gently used prom dress can donate by contacting Allison Shaw at 678-988-3710 or Connie Shaw at 770-749-1083.
