Mrs. Brinkley

Mrs. Mary Alma Berala Brinkley, 73, of Aragon passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013.

She was born on May 30, 1939 in Rudyard, Mich., the daughter of the late Eino Berala and the late Sylvia Jarvie Berala.

Mrs. Brinkley retired from the Polk County School District having worked at the Goodyear Elementary School as a teacher’s aide and was a member of the Aragon United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert (Bobby) Brinkley of Aragon to whom she married on Nov. 2, 1957; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Wesley Henderson of Rocky Face, Ga.; sister, Ruth Greisbach of Rudyard, Mich., and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. in the Aragon United Methodist Church with Rev. Andy Woodworth officiating.

Interment followed in the family lot of the Aragon Cemetery.

The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Jimmy Malaski, Jimmy Buchanan, Dewayne Edwards, W. L. Paris, Jimmy Miller and Brad Miller.

Honorary pallbearers were Al Miller and Larry Pittman.

The Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
