Shots were fired but no one was injured in a shooting incident in Rockmart’s west side Thursday night, according to police.

Polk County Police Department (PCPD) Chief Kenny Dodd said the gunplay occurred around 6 p.m. at the Triangle store, located at the intersection of Morgan Valley Road and Church Street on Jan. 24.

Dodd said several people were the targets of the shooting, but no one was hit.

Police have not made any arrests but have pinpointed three suspects, he said.

An investigation is continuing.

This incident is within yards of where the body of Desmond “Bud” Ray Kinnemore, 19, was found earlier this month. Police are investigating Kinnemore’s death as a homicide and suspect his death was the result of a shooting.

The Georgia Crime Lab have not released the autopsy results to confirm cause of death.
