The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, Jan. 21

1. Today is MLK day. Banks, government and postal services are closed.

2. The annual Cedartown MLK walk will begin at 4 p.m. The walk will line up from the corner of Rock and Thompson streets and will continue to the City Auditorium.

3. The Community service awards will be presented at 7 p.m. The keynote speaker is Letitia Owens of Atlanta.
