He was born on Nov. 6, 1962 in Cedartown, the son of the late Jack F. & Ollie C. Johnson.
Mr. Buster Johnson was a foreman for the Polk County Public Service Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Sgt. Frank Johnson Jr. and a sister, Lois Elizabeth Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Angie Norris Johnson; daughter, Timberly Johnson; brother, Bobby Johnson; sisters, Annie Hendrix, Ruby Murphy, Martha Reed, Jeanette Moncrief, Betty Dawson and Mary Hall; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Benefield and Mr. C.J. Norris officiating.
Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens with the Rev. Tony Lyle conducting committal services at graveside.
The following were asked to serve as pallbearers: Breck Tillery, Chris Norris, Daniel Johnson, Jimmy Moncrief, William Murphy and Ronald Kelley. Honorary Pallbearers were: Dr. Barry Carr, Rocky Tillery, Wayne Puckett, Andrew McCombs, Scotty Tillery, Sammy White, Kenneth Maddox, Benny Wayne Landrum, Phillip Price and C.J. Norris.
