He was born in Rome, on Oct. 2, 1934 to the late Odessa Gowens Hutchins and the late Thomas A. Hutchins.
Surviving are: wife, Faye Mull Hutchins of Monroe; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Lola Hutchins, Tony and Jan Hutchins and Neal and Angie Hutchins, all of Monroe and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Blount and the Rev. Darrell Hayes officiating.
Interment followed at Westlawn Cemetery.
