1. Mountian Home Baptist Church, will have a bake sale at Casey’s in Cedartown on Saturday, Dec. 22 beginning at 10 a.m.
2. The Rockmart Cultural Arts Center Gallery, 316 N. Piedmont Ave., Building 300 will hold a Holiday Gift Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday
1. Cedar Ridge Church, 412 and 414 S. Main St., Cedartown, will hold a Christmas community service at 7 p.m. featuring singing classic and contemporary Christmas songs
Monday
1. The Cedartown Standard and Rockmart Journal office will be closed Monday and Tuesday for the Christmas holidays. We will reopen Wednesday, Dec. 26 at 8 a.m.
2. All City Services will be closed Monday, Dec. 24 through Wednesday, Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas. Services will reopen on Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
3. The Aragon United Methodist Church will have A Christmas Eve Family Candlelight Service at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to a family friendly Christmas Eve service, concluding with candlelight. Atire is casual, and kids of all ages are particularly welcome to come and hear the Christmas Story.
4. Grace Presbyterian Churc, 120 West Joh Hand, Cedartown, will hold a Christmas Eve candelight service at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Christmas Day
1. All City Services are closed.
2. The Cedartown Standard and Rockmart Journal office is closed.
3. First Baptist Church of Cedartown will hold a Christmas service at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. The message will be “Telling The Story of Jesus” and will feature the lighting of the Christ Candle.
First Baptist is currently holding free “Mind, Body and Soul” Christian yoga classes on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This is a gentle class for people who wan to increase their range of painless movement.
