Float winners in the Rockmart Christmas Parade have been announced.

Those selected include:

Aragon First United Methodist Church was named first place winner.

Others are Vertical Church, second place and Yorkville Church, third.

Winners in the Civic/Non-Profit/School:

First place, Relay for Life, second, Girl Scouts, and third, Slate City Shiners.

Redmond EMS was the winner in the Commercial category Redmond EMS.

Chair Leigh Hulsey, 2012 Parade Committee, said that she was pleased with the results and thanked each person that helped make the event a success.

"It was truly a community effort," she said.

Other parade committee members include:
