1. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Burt Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activities. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.
2. Haven, a support group for women, meets each Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the auditorium of the Cedartown Housing Authority, 344 West Ave. A group discusses such issues as domestic violence, sexual assault and addictions among other topics. 3. AARP Tax-aide seeks Rockmart and Cedartown volunteers to help taxpayers who are seeking assistance in preparing and filing their 2012 tax returns. Volunteers do not need to be an AARP member or retiree to participate. Volunteers should have some computer or management experience.
