The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, Oct. 31:

1. Early voting in Polk County began Oct. 15 and continues through Nov. 2 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cedartown Elections Office, 144 West Ave., Cedartown, and the Nathan Dean Community Center, 604 Goodyear Av. Rockmart.

2. Euharlee Baptist Church, 89 Hicksville Road, Aragon, will hold its annual fall festival on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. Games, prizes, candy, hot dogs, a moon walk and a moon slide will be featured. There will also be a costume contest. Church appropriate costumes are requested.

3. Scedar Lake Christian Center will hold its Trunk or Treat event Wednesday, Oct. 31. The event will be held at the church, located at 1890 Rome Hwy., Cedartown, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This immediately follows the Downtown Trick or Treat event hosted by the Downtown Business Association. The Trunk or Treat event will include free food, a chili cook-off, a bake-off, games and prizes. For more information, call (770) 748-5750.

4. Pine Bower Baptist Church will host a Fall carnival at the church, located at 100 Pine Bower Road. The carnival will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m. The event will begin with a chili supper at 6 p.m., followed by carnival games, a cake walk, and a trunk-o-treat.
