She was born on Feb. 24, 1924 in Cleburne County, Ala. to the late Joe Chandler and Martha Robinson Chandler.
Mrs. Jones was an avid collector of antiques and enjoyed baking cakes and pies. She will always be remembered as a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She was a longtime member of New Harmony Baptist Church of Cedartown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Cyrus L. Jones; her sisters, Jewell Chandler Dean and Lilly Chandler Jones, her brothers, Bob Chandler, Bud Chandler, Rev. Clifford Chandler, John Chandler and Sid Chandler.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Theresa Jones Moore and Dr. John Gammon Moore of Johns Creek. Two grandsons and a number of other relatives and friends also survive.
Mrs. Jones was cremated with a private interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
The memorial service was held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 at New Harmony Baptist Church. Dr. DeWayne New officiated.
