According to a report from the Polk County Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET), the Alabama State Patrol initiated an investigation into an Oct. 18 motor vehicle accident involving two ATVs.
The logbook at the Jacksonville post of the Alabama State Patrol reports there was a wreck at noon on County Road 49 in Cleveland, Ala., that left two drivers injured.
The two injured are Larry Wheeler, 55, and James Pollard, 59, both of Georgia.

Officers located one of the vehicles at the residence and began gathering information from the vehicle.
That’s when officers found two large bags of marijuana in one of the vehicle’s storage compartments, reports said.
The estimated 10 pounds of marijuana was recovered into police evidence and the investigation is continuing, reports said.
The names of the suspects are not being released at this time, reports said.
