He was born on June 2, 1940 in Buchanan, the son of the late Columbus “Boyd” Waddell, Sr. and the late Mattie Lou Lewis Austin.
Mr. Waddell retired from the Rich-SeaPack Corporation and was a member of The Church of New Beginnings where he served as a deacon and musician.
He was preceded in death by a grandson and a sister, Joyce Moody.
Survivors included his wife, Glenda Harper Waddell of Cedartown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Allison and Richard Goodman of Attalla, Ala. and Kimberly and Wesley Dunn of Cedartown; son and daughter-in-law, William and Laney Waddell of Cedartown; brother, Danny Waddell of Aragon and two grandchildren.
Memorial services were held on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Patnode officiating.
