The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today Sept. 28:

1. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Burt Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activites. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.

2. Cedartown High School Homecoming events are on Friday, Sept. 28. A parade will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Main Street. Community league football teams, cheerleaders, and other community entries are encouraged to participate.

3. The homecoming football game will follow at Cedartown Memorial Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Halftime events will include the presentation of class representatives and the crowning of the homecoming queen.
