The man suspected in the beating death of a 14-month-old baby was indicted by the Polk County Grand Jury, according to jury presentments.

Pablo Flores, of Cedartown, was indicted on charges of felony murder, aggravated batter, and first-degree cruelty to children, documents state.

The presentment states there was enough evidence to convince the jury that Flores should be tried on allegations he caused head and other injuries to the child on July 16, 2011.

The baby boy, who was the child of Flores’ girlfriend, died two weeks later after remaining on life-support at Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.

Flores was arrested July 17, 2011, in the case.
