The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, July 19:

1. Coosa Valley Regional Services will hold their monthly board meeting on Thursday, July 19 at 10 a.m. at the main office located at 3 Riverside Industrial Parkway in Rome. The public is invited to attend.

2. The House Outreach Ministry, 663 Bethel Church Road, Silver Creek, will offer meals to any child under 18 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from June 5 through July 26 at 11 a.m. There are no income requirements. For more information call 706-936-0942.

3. The Cedartown Parks and Recreation Authority offers line dancing lessions from 6-8 p.m. every Thursday in the Christion Center located at 605 Lanton Dr.

4. Heartland Hospice offers “A Time of Healing” a bereavement group that gives participants the opportunity to learn about the natural grieving process, share experiences and learn in a group setting how to manage and cope wit grief. The group meets the third Thursday of every month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Covenant Cathedral Cedar Lake Christian Center, 1890 Rome Hwy, Cedartown.
