The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today July 11:

1. The Cedartown High School school council will meet on July 11 at 8 a.m. at the school in the conference room. This meeting is open to the public.

2. The Cedartown Wal-Mart will host senior day every Wednesday at 9 a.m. Seniors are invited to enjoy coffee, donuts and muffins as well as five games of bingo with prizes for the winners.

3. The House Outreach Ministry, 663 Bethel Church Road, Silver Creek, will offer meals to any child under 18 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from June 5 through July 26 at 11 a.m. There are no income requirements. For more information call 706-936-0942.

4. Kids in Recovery meets every Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Cedartown Library for kids ages 12 to 19-years-old with substance abuse problems. For more information call Pastor Sims, 770-546-0772.
