A vacant dwelling was destroyed in an early-morning fire Saturday morning, July 7, according to fire officials.

Polk County Volunteer Fire Department officials said the blaze occurred at a doublewide modular home on Tinsley Road around 3 a.m.

Tinsley Road is located off of Prospect Road near Rockmart.

The home had been vacant, so no one was there at the time of the fire, officials said.

Five county fire stations – Stations 4,6,2, and 3 – and the Rockmart Fire Department responded to the call.

A cause has not been determined and is under investigation.
