A multi-agency National Fire Prevention and Education Team has brought a message of education and wildfire prevention to Polk and Haralson counties during the past week. The group, comprised of professionals from the Georgia Forestry Commission (GFC), US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Forest Service and the Alabama Forestry Commission, met in Cedartown Tuesday, May 7.
