She was born in Newnan, Aug. 28, 1937, a daughter of the late Walter B. Hale and the late Ruby Bowles Hale.
Mrs. Langston had a degree from Shorter College and her master’s degree in elementary education from Berry College and had taught at the Cave Spring Elementary School for a number of years prior to her retirement. Prior to ill health, She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Cave Spring.
Mrs. Langston was married to Robert G. Langston Dec. 30, 1956, and was preceded in death by him May 3, 2008.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Diane Langston of Cave Spring and two sisters, JoAnn Armitage of Cave Spring and Louise Johnson and her husband Dr. James Johnson of Gainesville, Fla. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Cave Spring with Dr. John S. Connell officiating.
Interment followed in the family lot of the Cave Spring Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Clint Morgan, Tod Maddera, Steve Langston, Bill Massey, Corey Caron and Craig Coran.
