The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today July 18:

1. The Cedartown Wal-Mart will host senior day every Wednesday at 9 a.m. Seniors are invited to enjoy coffee, donuts and muffins as well as five games of bingo with prizes for the winners.

2. The House Outreach Ministry, 663 Bethel Church Road, Silver Creek, will offer meals to any child under 18 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from June 5 through July 26 at 11 a.m. There are no income requirements. For more information call 706-936-0942.

4. The United Fund of Polk County began a canned food and non-perishable food drive on June 30. Food collected will go to local families through the Cedartown United Fund. The food drive runs through July 31. Collection bins are up at most local grocery stores, including Casey’s, Kroger, Save-a-Lot and the Dollar General Market
