The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, Feb. 14:

1. Today is Valentine's Day

2. The Cedartown Library will host the Rome Library Puppeteers at 10 a.m.

3. The Rockmart Civic Arts Commission 316 N. Piedmont Ave., Bldg. 300, Rockmart, holds drawing classes on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. with Instructor Kathy Torres for ages 13 and up. Classes are $12 per session. For more information, call 706-266-7554.

4. Allison and Connie Shaw will once again be collecting donated prom dresses for Polk County students. Anyone with a new or gently used prom dress can donate by contacting Allison Shaw at 678-988-3710 or Connie Shaw at 770-749-1083.
