The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County this weekend, March 2-3:

Saturday

1. The Cedartown Middle School PTO will hold a yard sale in the school gym from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Various vendors will be selling clothing, toys, household items, girl scout cookies and more.

2. The Polk County Republican Party will meet Saturday, March 2 at the Cedartown Library. Refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m. the business meeting will start at 9:45 a.m. The meeting is open to anyone interested in the principles and values of the Republican Party.

3/ The Rockmart Civic Arts Gallery 316 N. Piedmont Ave., Bldg. 300, Rockmart is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment.

Sunday

1. Anna Kresge United Methodist Chruch, 15 Booger Hollow Road, Cedartown, will holds breakfast at 9:30 a.m., Sunday school classes at 10 a.m. and worship service at 10:55 a.m. every Sunday.

2. Spring Creek Baptist Church, 2636 Chulio Road, Rome, will hold revival beginning Sunday, March 3 at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

3. Morning View Baptist Church, 191 Clarkwood Road, Rockmart, will hold a concert featuring Tony Gore on Sunday March 3 at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
