Recent Grand Jury indictments

The Polk County Grand Jury issued a series of indictments on felony charges during its recent session.

Ladon Ware, of 1017 Jones St., Cedartown, was indicted on a robbery charge stemming from an incident allegedly occurring Aug. 27, 2010 where $20 was taken by force from Franki Lee Springer, according to court records.

Jerry Timothy Carter, of 222 New Prospect Road, Aragon, was indicted on rape, aggravated child molestation, child molestation and sexual battery of a child under 10 years old. His charges stem from alleged incidents occurring between Jan. 1, 2011 and Oct. 16, 2011, according to court records.

Dadrian J. Cummings, 146 Pine Mountain Road, Rockmart, was indicted on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The alleged incident occurred Aug. 7, 2011, court records state.

Brian Kenneth Perry and Lillie Verginia Perry, of 130 Dunn Road, Silver Creek, were both indicted on financial transaction fraud. They are accused of submitted in fraudulent application for a credit card based on another person’s credit and using the card to make purchases, records state.

Rodney Marshall Miller, 1336 Brooks St., Cedartown, was indicted on charges of burglary, criminal damage to property in the second degree, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

Miller is accused in an incident at Grand’s Store at 724 South Main St., Cedaratown, on Oct. 23, 2011. Miller allegedly broke into the store and tried to hide in the ceiling, court records said. He fell through the ceiling, causing damage, reports state.

Bradley Scott Short, of 1444 Dry Creek Road, Cedartown, was indicted on burglary, possession of firearms by a convicted felon in an incident occurring Dec. 31, 2010 where Short allegedly broke into a Cedartown city building at 605 Lynton Drive.
