RHS to hold burning of the bulldog Thursday night

On Thursday, Aug. 30, Rockmart will host the burning of the Bulldog pep rally. The event will start at 7 p.m. at the Rockmart football field.

“We are kicking off the outdoor pep rally with the band and color guard performing their halftime routine for the first time for the public to see,” Matt Johnson stated. “Cheerleaders will lead the crowd through several cheers, accompanied by the band, and we will walk a replica Bulldog over to an awaiting bonfire in anticipation for the days following rivalry game.”

The event will be held in the gym in case of rain.

All the players showed heart and played to the best of their ability. Nothing wrong with the players what so ever!!

Rockmart has talent on this team. Most of the young men showed a lot of heart. You can see in their eye's how much they hated to lose this game. The way I saw the game was Rockmart was totally out coached . The defense was unprepared for even the simplest play's Cedartown threw at them . Well I'am not the coach and am not there walking in the coaching staff's shoe's so I'am not going to throw stone's . I just hope we see a better prepared team in the future . Congratulation's go out to the Cedartown team .

Buzz i think the problem is Rockmart coaching staff does not know how to do these things. If you watch Rockmart head coach on the side lines he looks like a Deer in the head light the way he walk around on the side lines.I hope this is the begining of the end for DD era in Rockmart.A teams personality reflects from the head coach.fumbles,linemen moving before the snap and not getting the right players in on plays is the same ole thing year after year we see.

I am a player for RHS,And i would greatly appreciate if you would please discuss your negative views of my coach on your own time,not on the internet.I may not play alot,but i think and so does everyone here that when the community has a negative view about a coach,it affects the teams Coachability,so Please Mr Kacetffan keep your negative comments to yourself.

Lack of preperation will get you blowed outevery time. Lack of practice will get you beat every time, like 2 days off before school started back last week. Not getting your playmakers the ball will get you blowed out every time. Not makeing the players on the sideline during practice pay attention and wonder off talking to the people watching practice will get you blowed out every time. Not getting the players in shape during Fall Camp will get you blowed out every time. It's just pitiful watching Rockmart play Cedartown with the talent Rockmart has on the field! Make the boy's that fumble run, do extra work after practice, make them sleep with the Football, something. Just have to be prepared to play Football!!

I am personally a player At Rockmart High School,and I would appreciate it if You@Buzz would not comment on our Rituals and such.The true test will be seen Friday August 31'st At Rockmart High School Football Stadium,At 7:30 pm,and as far as Cedartown High School goes,I am glad to hear they practice till dark,cause we do too.
