EAST POINT, GA. — Authorities southwest of Atlanta are seeking the public's help as they investigate a shooting that left two people dead.

East Point police say both people were found shot inside an apartment late Sunday night.

De'ante Grier tells WSB-TV that officers knocked on his door looking for information. Grier said officers asked him whether he heard gunshots, a fight or commotion.

Few other details on the shooting were available early Monday. Police said they planned to release more information later Monday.

East Point is about 7 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta.
