Wadsworth was raised in Dallas, Texas and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He said that after his service in the Navy he was called to service with the church, and has been in the ministry for 40 years.
He received his doctorate in ministry from the McCormick Seminary in Chicago and he was most recently a pastor in Lawrenceville before moving to Cedartown.
“I love Cedartown,” said Wadsworth. “I'm very glad to be here.”
Wadsworth lives with his wife, Sandy, in the Meadow Lakes community in Cedartown.
The Methodist church is an Episcopal system, which means that bishops appoint pastors to churches. According to Wadsworth, it is typical for a pastor to be moved to a new church after about four years.
Wadsworth has pastored in Rome, Bremen and Cartersville. He said that he has always loved Cedartown.
