Cedartown's annual MLK march this afternoon; celebration to follow

Cedartown’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day March will be held at 4 p.m. today.

The march will begin at the intersection of Thompson and Rock street and continue down Main Street to the Cedartown Civic Auditorium.

After the march, the annual King Celebration will take place at 7 p.m. at the auditorium. The keynote speaker will be Letitia Owens, President and Creative Director of R' Tish Creations, Inc. Community Service Awards will also be presented during the celebration.

Those receiving awards include Hal Floyd, Pastor Tony Davis, Elliot Gammage, Clarence Gibson, Kelly McLendon, James Morris, Anil Patel, Gary Reid, Scotty Tillery, Dale Tuck, Melissa Washington and Tara Payne.
