Around 320 power customers remain without power in Cedartown after storms began rumbling in the area, according to Georgia Power officials.

The outages are in the Burkhalter Road area.

Company officials said a tree fell on a line in a storm and originally caused around 900 to be without power. However, crews isolated the damage and returned power to the majority of customers.

The remaining customers without power will, unfortunately, be waiting for “a while,” officials said. They said it would take several hours to return power to those customers, depending on the damage done by the tree.
